I have been sick and had to skip diving for a while so I could not wait to get back in the water for a night dive. Unfortunately I did not realize that my sinuses were still full of shit so I had to abort dive after half hour.
The dive conditions were perfect. No wind, perfectly flat seas. We entered at the site of construction, because the whole street was blocked. The moment we entered we got worried, because of the construction the viz was ~1 inch. As we progressed towards the left side of the beach the visibility cleared up and actually it was pretty good during the dive.
As reported by other divers the squids are in. There were plenty of them. I also saw a bundle of eggs. There were two baby pipefish, which are always cool but damn hard to get photo of. As usual, there were plenty of crabs around, it seemed like they all had itchy butt syndrome, they were all trying to rub their but on the sand, funny stuff.
At some point, half an hour into the dive I lost the sight of one of my buddies, I surfaced in order to locate them and then the vertigo hit me. I was completely disoriented, felt nauseous. Then I realized that the dive was over, I got myself to the shore as soon as I got my orientation right.
Even though it was a short one it was a nice dive, except the end. It was good to be back in the water. But, too bad that I would have to skip the weekend, as well. 🙁
