Couldn’t get enough of diving yesterday so got few people together to get in the water again. My wetsuit was wet from yesterday, perfect opportunity to try my new drysuit. Glad that I didn’t gained more weight, so it fits good. The boots I always have issues with, I don’t know what to do with it :/
The moment we got in the water, right there I saw a cornetfish, trying to take photos I realized I was well underweighted. Got my weights corrected as my buddies started diving. When I got under the surface again I saw a bunch of squid parading in front of me. I watched them a second then headed toward the direction of my buddies. Still at 3ft water, I found a hairy sea cucumber, for the first ever time in my local dives. It was just at the sandy area on the ramp. Two fin kicks later I saw a beautiful seahorse, wrapped its tail around a loose seaweed. At this point I was really questioning if I really had to meet my buddies, it seemed like so much was happening at 3 ft water 🙂
Regardless, I continued and found my buddies, had a good dive. Once again I think I hit the portal in the cove that Pete and I found ourselves on the left wall, so far away from Amy, who was on the right wall, where we were all supposed to be 😮
At the end of 1.5 hours, we came to the shore spent another 20-30 mins right there. So much to see! Found bunch of the invasive shrimps, invasive asian shore crabs, atlantic silversides and a juvenile gray snapper. When I go home and look at my photos I realize that 95% of my photos were at the entrance ramp area.
The drysuit was good and comfortable, but it is never as comfy as a wetsuit. The air is way to fluid 🙂
